Collection and Delivery
As we have an extensive UK national client base we are able to offer collection and delivery of paintings personally or by special courier. We are not restricted to a given geographic area. Special courier arrangements are made for our overseas clients.

This painting on panel has been cleaned many times during the last four hundred years. During the early twentieth century it was placed on a cradle to prevent warping and give structural support to the aged panel that had been attacked by wood boring insects. The varnish had oxidised giving a milky appearance in places, and obscuring parts of the painting as we see in the left image. Essential conservation work was carried out and it was decided to remove the varnish, and in the image on the right, we see the same painting following its removal. The Madonna’s facial features are clearer as is the foliage of the tree over her left shoulder.
